FAQs

  • Our IFS Coaching Training goes beyond teaching foundational coaching skills and self-compassionate personal development by placing the Self at the center of all healing and transformation. Unlike other approaches, which may focus on techniques like perspective shifting, goal setting, or accountability, IFS offers a unique, unifying framework—the Self. The Self is inherently capable of healing, integrating, and guiding all parts of the system toward wholeness. Many other models lack this deeper connection to the core Self, leaving participants navigating change without a cohesive foundation. IFS offers a clear pathway to access your Self—naturally resourced and fully capable of integrating all parts of the system for true and lasting transformation.

  • We highly recommend attending no less than 75% of the live sessions (3/4 of the weekend immersions and 3/4 of the weekday classes) to get the full benefit of the training. IFS is best understood through experience and so there’s a significant component of the training that involves interactive participation which is vital in grasping the art and technique of IFS.

If you cannot meet this minimum, you are still welcome to participate but you will not be eligible for a certificate of completion.

  • Although we are not yet an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited program, we are ICF-certified coaches, and our training meets ICF standards. We are working towards becoming an ICF-accredited training school in 2025. Until then, our training can still be used to apply for ICF training credits, and we can help you with your application.

Please note that coaching is an unregulated profession, so certification is not required to practice as a coach globally. Ultimately, training is about your own integrity, ethics, and ensuring you feel fully confident, skilled, and competent in your work. When you trust the quality of your training and your clients trust working with you, certification becomes less about the credential and more about the trust and experience you bring to your practice.

  • Although we are not connected to the IFS Institute, you can call yourself an IFS coach or IFS-informed practitioner. If you are already a licensed therapist or counselor, you may refer to yourself as an IFS therapist or counselor.

This training provides a strong foundation to confidently facilitate parts work, whether in your practice or personal life. It covers all phases of the IFS protocol, including the unburdening of exiles, while emphasizing the importance of accessing and amplifying the Self. We prioritize the quality and depth of our trainings and strive to for trainees to become highly skilled, Self-led practitioners.

“Internal Family Systems is one of the most effective tools for accessing our true nature while healing our wounded parts. It bridges the gap between psychological and spiritual work by helping us integrate all parts of ourselves into embodied presence.”
