Who’s this For?

This training is designed for (aspiring) coaches, as well as therapists, spiritual directors, nutritionists, and other healing and wellness practitioners who desire to integrate Internal Family Systems into their professional client work. It is also for those looking to deepen their understanding of IFS and apply principles in their personal lives and relationships.

We welcome all to apply, and although recommended, you don’t need previous training as a coach, therapist, or other practitioner with experience working one-on-one in a healing relationship.

We also recommend to read No Bad Parts or Introduction to Internal Family Systems by Dr. Richard Schwartz before the first session and be prepared to read the Internal Family Systems Second Edition textbook by the end of the training.

FAQs

  • Yes. As part of the 6-month training, each trainee will have the opportunity to receive individualized support. You may submit two 1-hour recorded (with permission) practice sessions and receive a 30-minute mentoring session for each. These sessions offer personalized feedback to support your skill development.

  • Our IFS Coaching Training goes beyond teaching foundational coaching skills and self-compassionate personal development by placing the Self at the center of all healing and transformation. Unlike other approaches, which may focus on techniques like perspective shifting, goal setting, or accountability, IFS offers a unique, unifying framework—the Self. The Self is inherently capable of healing, integrating, and guiding all parts of the system toward wholeness. Many other models lack this deeper connection to the core Self, leaving participants navigating change without a cohesive foundation. IFS offers a clear pathway to access your Self—naturally resourced and fully capable of integrating all parts of the system for true and lasting transformation.

  • We highly recommend attending no less than 75% of the live sessions to get the full benefit of the training. IFS is best understood through experience and so there’s a significant component of the training that involves interactive participation which is vital in grasping the art and technique of IFS.

If you cannot meet this minimum, you are still welcome to participate but you will not be eligible for a certificate of completion.

“Internal Family Systems is one of the most effective tools for accessing our true nature while healing our wounded parts. It bridges the gap between psychological and spiritual work by helping us integrate all parts of ourselves into embodied presence.”

— Lock Kelly, IFS Practitioner and founder of Effortless Mindfulness Institute
